A special collection of epilogues about all of our favorite guys from the “Home” series. I really enjoyed this touching trip into each of their current lives. Taking place after the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, it was interesting to see their reactions and the impact it had on each of them. I loved how each of the character’s true personalities came out in the story. It’s a testament to the author’s ability to write rich, well-developed characters. The heart of the story is Felix, and being in his mind was such a treat. Quiet but strong, he adored Baldur from afar until the chance came for them to be together. Watching the two of them interact was very sweet, and they truly seemed made for each other. The historical details made me feel like I was in the middle of the war watching the planes fly by.
New college roommates become best friends who enjoy doing everything together. It was sweet how they were always taking care of each other in their own way. Fielding is the genius without a lot of friends, and Mick is the athlete who everybody loves. After Fielding asks Mick to teach him how to kiss, their relationship goes through some significant changes. I really liked watching Mick work through his feelings. It wasn’t easy or instant, which made it even more realistic and touching.
