Just loved it! Whit and Zack are both adorably shy, and once they hook up, it was pretty sweet. I never realized so much took place during role-playing games. I loved the sense of humor in this story.

Best friends to forbidden lovers during a time when one man loving another could result in their death, but not being together might not be a life worth living.
Marcus Weston is an Earl currently living under his father’s control until he eventually becomes the Marquess of Huntington. His dearest friend, Horace (Race) Bates, is the housekeeper’s son. Race’s station alone should prevent them from becoming best friends, but it doesn’t. Instead, they grow up together and know almost everything about one another, except how they both truly feel.
The majority of the story revolves around the two men both trying to accept their feelings for each other while trying to decide if they should risk baring their souls to one another. It was great getting both of their perspectives, feeling their doubts, and hoping they would see the light. I really enjoyed watching the two of them work through their feelings while hearing their thoughts. There was a beautiful steamy scene between the young lovers. Marcus’s father was a tyrant which added some additional drama to the story. There was also one minor bloody scene which was a bit disturbing to read.
This is the first in the series, and while I felt I got my HEA, I’m also really looking forward to the next story to see their saga continue.

The world, as we know it, has been wiped out. Fortunately, true love is still a reality.
Daniel and Jake have both spent the past several years living on their own. Daniel has managed to set up a home and has become fairly self-sufficient. Jake has been wandering around the world not really sure what he’s looking for. One chance meeting will change both of their lives forever.
I absolutely adored this story. Daniel and Jake are both wonderful people as evidenced by their behavior. Daniel has several animals that he is taking care of and Jake has his wonderful horse. They were both very kind and considerate to each other. Although it was a short story, I actually felt like I got to know both of the characters and truly believed that they had a chance at a future together. I really enjoyed watching them play chess, cook, and talk to each other. Although it was close to being the end of the world, and options were limited, I still felt that they had a real connection with each other. There is also one truly steamy little scene.
I really enjoyed this heartwarming story with two sexy men who turned the end of the world into the beginning of their future together.

I absolutely adored this story. Mas was an extremely charming character, and his flaws made him even more lovable. Perry was so serious most of the time until Mas taught him how to enjoy life a bit more. Neither Mas nor Perry had been in a serious relationship before which made watching them suffer through the learning curve both realistic and interesting. I also thought it was fun watching them put the clothing and art store together. It’s not necessary to read Junk first but I highly recommend it. Jasper and Lewis do show up here quite frequently which was a treat for me.
