Behind the Curtain by Amy Lane (4 Stars)

A sweet romance with two guys trying to decide if they are good enough for each other. Told from Dawson’s POV, his addictive voice and generous nature made me love him. I didn’t feel like I got to know Jared very well, but more importantly, I struggled to understand why these two would fall in love. I just wanted more time with them actually talking to each other as opposed to being told that they had enjoyable conversations. However, I still enjoyed reading it until the last 15%. At that point, some of the things happening to Jared were too unbelievable and brought me out of the story.

Boats in the Night by Josephine Myles (4.5 Stars)

Enjoyable, sweet romance with two people who seemed so different at first, but really had similar core values. I liked the time they spent getting to know one another and loved their conversations. There were little twists in the story, with some making the story interesting, and some making it slightly unbelievable. An easy read that made me smile.

Wedded Bliss by A.J. Llewellyn (2 Stars)

Unfortunately, the writing style and plot didn’t work for me on this one. The relationship between Jack and Bruce was stressful, and I never understood their connection. There wasn’t a lot of time devoted to building their romance or to having any meaningful conversations.

Moving in Rhythm by Dev Bentham (5 Stars)

I found the story fascinating and the character development completely absorbing. I can’t imagine how hard it would be living with such debilitating shyness, although the author did an excellent job putting me in Mark’s head. Mark stepped up to the plate when needed by his family no matter how hard it was for him. It was nice to see him finally take a small step forward for himself when he reached out to Seth. Seth was so understanding and went out of his way to try to make Mark more comfortable. These two made a wonderful couple, and I would love to see more of them. Fortunately, the author just posted a lovely snippet about them for Valentine’s Day here.
