Wolf Nip (Granite Lake Wolves #6) by Vivian Arend (4 Stars)

Very sweet shifter story with nice characters and a cute plot. Mark is perfectly adorable with his willingness to wait for Tessa to agree to be his mate while also helping to make her business dreams come true. Tessa was a fun ball of energy, and endearing once she sees the light on the real definition of love. Can be read as a stand-alone, but it’s better as part of the series.

Hard and Fast by Jack Greene (4.5 Stars)

Title says it all. Two hitmen, rough sex, nasty talk, and a sweet ending. Nic cheated, but it played perfectly into the plot, and there was the possibility that he truly didn’t believe he and Paul were exclusive. Plus, after Nic actually risks his life to save Paul, it’s pretty easy to see them move forward.

Turning the Tables (Sex Sells #4) by Kim Dare (4.5 Stars)

It was really enjoyable getting inside Jacob’s head to understand why he was so afraid to submit. Watching Lee try to help Jacob accept his submissive side was sweet, especially since Lee would have loved him no matter what. Heavy spankings and a light flogging take place in this very steamy story.  I just wished we would have learned more about Lee and Jacob on a personal level, like through a conversation during their dates.

Secrets and Ink by Lou Harper (4 Stars)

I really enjoyed this semi-romantic story with a little murder mystery. Jem is the real winner here, and I loved being in his head. A former rentboy and drug user, he is now just enjoying his boring, but cursed, life.  He believes he was cursed, and his bad luck would certainly make you agree with him.  I wish the relationship with Nick was a bit more developed, but that’s just the romantic in me.  Ended at 90% on the Kindle.
