Blackbird Knitting in a Bunny’s Lair (Knitting #5) by Amy Lane (4.5 Stars)

I was a little hesitant to read this story after the last one ended so violently. I’m glad I ended up reading it, because it was an excellent story. Jeremy spent the beginning of the story in the hospital recovering from his beating and reflecting on his relationship with Aiden. The rest let us see Aiden and Jeremy’s relationship grow as they both learned to share their feelings with each other. I really enjoyed the time they spent together at home and in the store. There was also a heavy focus on the amazing support provided by a community coming together. By the end, I was tearing up with feelings of happiness.

The Mayfield Speakeasy by L.A. Witt (4.5 Stars)

Interesting murder mystery where somebody in Walter’s family seems to be the guilty party. Joe is investigating the murder which leads to the first of many meetings. I enjoyed the time Walter and Joe spent together getting to know each other in more ways than one.

Masochist’s Choice (Sun, Sea, and Submission #5) by Kim Dare (4.5 Stars)

I loved watching Todd and Ash start to learn a bit about masochism. It was interesting getting Ash’s POV about being paddled, which he clearly despised, and Todd’s POV, who definitely enjoyed it. I also liked how Todd stood up for himself about what he wanted out of life.  The only thing that didn’t work for me was how Ash talked about Todd like a prized possession instead of somebody he cared about. His actions made it clear, but I wish his words and thoughts would have too.
