Vanilla Licks (Sun, Sea and Submission #4) by Kim Dare (4.5 Stars)

Sweet and sexy story focused on whether or not a few great scenes together can lead to a permanent relationship.  Darrell is adorable with his quick wit. I liked the way he stood up for what he wanted and didn’t let Fulton do anything too foolish. Fulton was very strict, but Darrell was making him into a bit of a softie. The scenes on the beach, in the hotel, and in the ice cream shop were pretty hot. Getting both of their perspectives gave the story more depth.

Merry Gentlemen by Josephine Myles (3 Stars)

Riley was a fun character with a quick wit, and the story is basically focused around him figuring out what he really wants out of life. I really didn’t get to know Stan at all, and I didn’t understand their relationship. There was very little dialogue between them, and we really didn’t see them spend any time together. We were just told about moments of time in their past, but it still didn’t paint a picture of a relationship.  The bulk of this story wasn’t very happy, but instead was a little sad with too much angst for my tastes.

Cost of Repairs (Cost of Repairs #1) by A.M. Arthur (5 Stars)

I really enjoyed this one! Slow-building, realistic relationship, steamy hot sex, interesting characters who have quite a bit of emotional baggage, and interesting plot points.  The first part of the book is from Samuel’s POV, the second from Rey’s, and the remainder from both. This really helped in developing the characters and understanding their motivation.  I didn’t want to put it down until I finished. They definitely got their HEA, but there were some open plot points that were resolved in the next story which was just as wonderful.

All the Gear, No Idea (I Blame Bret #2) by Kim Dare (3.5 Stars)

McCormack thinks he’s teaching Theo how to be a good sub for a friend, but things get complicated when he starts to fall for Theo. McCormack was very hardcore, and I wasn’t quite sure how he and Theo would work out in the long run. Although told from both POV’s, I really didn’t feel like I got to know Theo well enough. The overall story had a slightly negative vibe to it which was unusual for a Kim Dare story and also detracted from it.
