Time to Do (Perfect Timing #3) by Kim Dare (5 Stars)

Best friends to lovers theme, this erotic romance focused on Rigby’s realization that maybe he wasn’t straight after all. Hearing the thoughts of both Rigby and Brennan, and seeing them work through this major change in their relationship, made for a very touching read.

My second time with this amazing story! Although part of a series, stories are not related and order is not important. However, I’ve read all of them and highly recommend each one.

Speechless by Kim Fielding (5 Stars)

Simply brilliant! Although Drew lost his ability to speak after a car accident, he and Travis communicated extremely well together. I really felt like I got to know both of these characters in a meaningful way. The major angst in the story was realistic, and the wonderful ending made me well up with tears.

The Gig is a free short epilogue, available at Dreamspinner Press, which was also excellent!

Shepherd, Slave and Vow by Lyn Gala (4 Stars)

Erotic tale, with touches of BDSM, about love being worth more than all the riches in the world. Told from Ferro’s POV, a strong and rebellious son of royalty with a miserable life. He has just found himself being sold as a slave along with Lisias. Although Lisias seemed to lead a simple life, we didn’t learn much about him. Last quarter slammed home the romance!

Love Lessons by Heidi Cullinan (4 Stars)

Dorm mates to friends to lovers, a relationship based plot with engaging characters. Interesting college and family issues including job loss, divorce, and a parent’s mental health problems. Smart and charming bad-boy Walter with sweet, down to earth Kelly made for quite the pair. As Walter’s personality became subdued toward the end, and the focus wasn’t on the relationship, the story lost its edge and became a little bit flat. Story ends at 94% on Kindle.
